It seems like our flag, Old Glory, has always been displayed with a measure of observable pride and deeply held respect virtually everywhere throughout the United States.

Yet now, in an era fraught with divisive, uncivil rhetoric and callous disregard for the beliefs of fellow citizens, it appears the venerable icon of our nation has become

the soiled, ragged, and casually neglected symbol of a country that is dying.
